🚨 True Lifesavers 🚨

By Assistant Chief Matthew Primiano
December 10, 2025

On the morning of November 10, Mr. Ed Wujcik arrived at Sip N Dip for his usual morning coffee. Moments after sitting down near several Warren DPW workers who were on break, he suddenly collapsed and went into cardiac arrest.
The DPW workers immediately initiated CPR and notified dispatch via direct line, allowing Rescue and Engine 5 to be sent to the scene without delay.
Paramedics, EMTs, and Firefighters worked relentlessly, performing advanced life support interventions, administering multiple medications, establishing an airway, and delivering several defibrillations over the course of approximately 20 minutes. Their determination and skill ultimately resulted in Mr. Wujcik regaining a spontaneous pulse.
Last night, Mr. Wujcik was able to personally shake the hands of some of the responders who helped save his life — a powerful reminder of the importance of swift action and teamwork.
The Warren Fire Department proudly recognizes all members involved in this extraordinary lifesaving effort.
Rescue Personnel:
Capt. Cuzzone, EMT Dantuano, EMT Thayer, EMT Araujo
Fire Personnel:
Asst. Chief Primiano, Capt. Little, Capt. Dallaire, FF Avila, LT Mansi, FF Jannitto, FF Thibodeau, FF Manuel
Excellent work, gentlemen — your dedication made the difference.
