| On April 26, 2026, department members gathered for the annual "Back to Basics" drill. Each company focused on essential training topics:
Engine 1 reviewed fire alarms and control panels. Engine 2 practiced handling hoses, nozzles, and hose deployment. Engine 3 worked with SCBAs, rapid intervention team packs, and thermal cameras. Engines 5 and 6 concentrated on water supply operations. Tower 1 covered forcible entry and cutting tools. The Rescue company reviewed mass casualty incident equipment.
The event saw strong participation and favorable weather, providing an excellent opportunity for hands-on training. The day's activities concluded with a birthday cake in celebration of Chief Sousa. |
